Several years after retiring from a 30 year career with Blue Cross Blue Shield –the last 15 in Kansas City, Missouri, my wife, Diane and I moved to Sequim to be closer to our three sons and their families, all of whom live in the Seattle area. We have been in St. Joseph parish since 2001 where I am a lector and a Eucharistic minister. I have been a Knight of Columbus six years and served as Grand Knight one year. I am the current president for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in our community. And I am a SHIBA volunteer ( State Health Insurance Advisor) for the State of Washington Insurance Department to assist people with health and Medicare related questions and or problems.

MARY VIE, Vice-chair

My husband, Steve, and I have lived in Sequim since April of 1999 and have been active members of St. Joseph’s Church since that time.

I look forward to my tenure on the Pastoral Council and to working with all of my fellow parishioners.

My husband Pete, 4-legged friend Kita & I moved here in 2006 from Florida…quite a change! We love the area & feel like we’re “home” – both in the community and at St. Joseph’s. I look forward to hearing from our parishioners & sharing their ideas with the Council.

Dick was appointed to the council October 2009 through June 2010.

Nicole is a senior at Sequim High School. Some of her activities include Future Business Leaders of America, Honor Society, Student Political Awareness, and Fine Arts Club. She also dances at Pioneer Dance Arts and plays piano. As a parish council member, she promises to be a reliable voice for the youth of the community.

Karelene was appointed to the council October 2009 through June 2010.My husband, Barry and I moved to Sequim in 2001 from Buckley, which is East of Tacoma, not far from Mount Rainier.  We live with our little mutt dog, Heidi near Diamond Point.  We have 12 grandkids, all within 90 miles. I’ve worked as an office manager for a computer training company, and was self employed, doing home care before we moved to the area.  More recently, I’ve been working as a volunteer for the Red Cross, and am an Account Manager for Lighthouse Catholic Media; an awesome not for profit organization.
